Staying near LAX: the Century Blvd hotel corridor, and what it allows
Century Boulevard is the airport-hotel spine of LAX — a dense run of major-chain hotels a few minutes from the terminals, most running their own 24-hour airport shuttle. For a traveler with a long layover or an early flight who also wants easy access to a licensed dispensary, it's the most convenient base on the map: the Westchester dispensary corridor (see our dispensaries near LAX guide) is a five-to-ten-minute drive from most Century Blvd addresses.
What "hotel-friendly" actually means
It doesn't mean smoking-friendly. Virtually every hotel on the corridor is a 100%-smoke-free property — that covers cigarettes, vapes, and cannabis alike, indoors and typically on balconies and patios too. Violating that policy is a house rule, not a state law, but hotels enforce it with real cleaning fees, commonly in the hundreds of dollars, charged straight to the card on file. Read the smoking clause in your reservation confirmation; it is not boilerplate.
What's realistic instead
Edibles, and other smoke-free formats, avoid the entire issue and are the practical choice for a hotel stay. If you're buying flower or a vape anyway, treat it the same as any other legal-but-restricted item: sealed, stored, and not used on the property. Licensed delivery to a Century Blvd hotel is legal — meet the driver in the lobby rather than giving a room number to a stranger, and bring ID, since delivery drivers are required to verify age the same as an in-store purchase.
Getting around without a car
Almost every Century Blvd hotel runs a free shuttle to and from LAX on a short loop, which covers airport transfers but not dispensary runs — for those, rideshare is the standard option (full logistics in our rideshare & transit guide). The corridor is walkable in daylight but Century and Sepulveda are wide, high-traffic arterials; a short rideshare is faster and simpler than walking with luggage or bags.
The bottom line
Century Blvd gets you close to the airport and close to licensed retail, but not a place to use anything you buy. Plan consumption for private space away from the hotel, or skip smokeable formats entirely for the length of the stay.
